This Week’s Theme
This week explores everyday life through common daily routines and activities. You’ll learn vocabulary for describing your morning routine, work schedule, weekend activities, and time management. Each story uses HSK 2 level vocabulary to help you talk about when you wake up, what you do during the day, how you spend your free time, and your habits. By the end of the week, you’ll be able to describe a typical day in your life and understand others when they talk about their routines.

This week focuses on time expressions, daily activities, and routine-related vocabulary. You’ll learn words for parts of the day, work-related terms, leisure activities, and words describing habits and schedules.
Sample Words:
- 起床 (qǐ chuáng) – to get up; to get out of bed
- 上班 (shàng bān) – to go to work
- 休息 (xiūxi) – to rest
- 锻炼 (duànliàn) – to exercise
- 习惯 (xíguàn) – habit; to be accustomed to
- 准时 (zhǔnshí) – on time; punctual
- 周末 (zhōumò) – weekend
Key Grammar Patterns

每天 (měitiān) / 每个 (měi gè) – “Every day” / “Every [noun]”
Example: 我每天早上七点起床 (I get up at 7 AM every day) -
从…到… (cóng…dào…) – “From…to…” for time or place
Example: 从早上八点到下午五点 (From 8 AM to 5 PM) -
先…然后… (xiān…ránhòu…) – “First…then…” sequence
Example: 我先洗脸,然后吃早饭 (First I wash my face, then I eat breakfast) -
有时候 (yǒu shíhou) – “Sometimes” expressing occasional actions
Example: 有时候我九点才起床 (Sometimes I don’t get up until 9 o’clock) -
…以后 (…yǐhòu) – “After…” indicating sequence
